Venues and Events: Do I need a permit?

Do I need a permit questionnaire?

By filling out this quick questionnaire, you will be able to work out what kind of event permit you require (or if you require one at all).
1. Do you have more than 50 people attending your event? *This question is required.
2. Do you want to reserve a specific location? *This question is required.
3. Is your event duration longer than 6 hours? *This question is required.
4. Will you be playing amplified music?   *This question is required.
5. Are you planning to have structures such as marquees or a stage? *This question is required.
6. Are you having a private caterer or mobile vendor providing food or beverages (such as a food truck, coffee cart or mobile car?) *This question is required.
7. Is your event a wedding? *This question is required.
8. Will your event be ticketed or fenced off? *This question is required.
9. Are you occupying a pathway or street? *This question is required.

If your answer was
no to all the questions above...
You do not require a permit or any form of reservation- please enjoy your time at the park! Public facilities such as BBQs and playgrounds are not bookable- please arrive early if you want to use these facilities.

 

 

If you answered yes to any of the questions above...
You will require a EIPS permit. Please complete this online form and we will contact you.

 

You may require additional permits as well, such as:

 
  • Road closures & street parties require a specific permit
  • Filming, commercial photography and unit bases require a specific permit
  • Staging, ticketing and fencing may require a POPE permit.
  • Amplified sound and music require a specific permit
  • Engaging a caterer such as a food truck or mobile coffee cart require a specific permit

Our Event Permits team will provide a single point of contact for you to  assess and provide guidance on all additional permits.

 

Major events include one or more of the following elements:

 
  • More than 1000 participants/spectators
  • Multiple dates
  • Festivals
  • Markets
  • Sporting events occupying roads or paths (such as fun runs or triathlons)
