Mission Statement: The purpose of Bridge to Opportunities Peer Mentorship Program is to support college students through different transitions in their college experience. Our goal is to help students start strong, stay strong, and finish strong!
Advantages: Students who join BTO will have the opportunity to work with one of many Peer Mentors, all of whom are students and leaders at Cañada College. Mentees will meet with their assigned Mentor at least two times every month, meet with a Counselor at least twice a semester, attend at least one campus event, and various workshop and seminars. The focus of BTO is to increase retention rates and persistence while providing a positive and successful transition. In addition to receiving support from a Peer Mentor, students in BTO will also receive 1:1 counseling services in areas such as academic, career, financial, and personal counseling.
