"Projects" Work/Study Position

Thank you for your interest in DCC's "Projects" work/study position.  This position is dedicated to completing an array of projects around the Center.  These include everything from creating glaze test tile boards, putting together shelves, organizing and creating stacking platforms for chairs and helping to smooth the Center's floors.

Helpful skills are light construction (use of power tools, hammer, nails etc), good organizational/planning skills and being self-directed.

If you like the idea of seeing the Center get better and look better through the dint of your efforts, this would be a good position for you.   Also, if you are the kind of person that sees things that are working just right and would like to fix them, BINGO.

I will work with you to prioritize tasks and create a work plan.  In most cases, you will purchase materials, for which you will be reimbursed.  You will work independently at your own pace.

This is either a half time (approx 2 hours per week) or full time (4 hours per week) position.  As an example of savings, half time cuts community artists fees in half; full time eliminates them.
1. How many hours a week are you interested in work as our Projects person? *This question is required.
2. Are you skilled with the use of power tools (portable saws, table saw, drill, hammer drill etc.)
3. Can you handle occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects (50 lbs or more)?
4. Are you OK with purchasing needed materials and DCC reimbursing you?
5. Are you willing to sign a Holds Harmless document which means that in case of injury or accident you will hold District Clay harmless from any liability?  (You will get to review this document before signing it). *This question is required.
7. Please give us your contact information: *This question is required.
