What is a Child Study Team (CST)?
A Child Study Team (CST) is a multidisciplinary group of professionals, from various fields, that will meet to review student data and programing if the tiered interventions are not working. CST meetings provide a transition between Response to Intervention/Academic Intervention Services and Special Education, but do not automatically mean there will be a CSE referral. The goal of the meeting is to analyze student needs and response to interventions, and brainstorm additional strategies to support struggling learners.
Teachers who would like to recommend a student to the Child Study Team will complete the following checklist to provide background information regarding the student's needs and current programming.
