Dear Prospective Agency,
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Marjorie S. Fisher Nutrition Driven (ND) partner agency with the Palm Beach County Food Bank! ND is delivered in partnership with the Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension - University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences (UF IFAS). ND uses the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) curriculum to teach program participants about core nutritional values, food safety and preparation, simple recipes, and smart shopping tips over eight classes.
Each class includes a recipe tasting to illustrate what participants have learned. At the end of each class, class participants receive a bag of fresh produce and a whole grain or dry beans to take home and prepare for their family. Much of the food that participants will take home will mirror the recipe tasted during class and reinforce the day's lesson.
This application must be completed and signed by your agency's director to be considered as an ND partner agency. Applications will not be considered complete unless all paperwork is submitted with the application and site requirements are able to be met. When all paperwork has been submitted, we will review your application, and if your agency meets the criteria, you will be contacted with next steps to become an ND partner agency.
