State of Community Management 2018

The State of Community Management 2018 survey is now closed.

Our research provides critical insights for community management practitioners and the industry as a whole. We couldn't do it without your help and hope it also prompts you to reflect and gain insight into your own progress and opportunities.

Please answer this survey based on your experience with a focus on one specific community or community program. You are welcome to submit separate survey responses for as many communities as you like. Be as accurate as you can - we understand many answers will require an estimate. Note: Your individual survey data will not be shared with anyone, and we scrub the data we use to make sure it can't be disaggregated back to your community

There are a few data points that you should collect or estimate before starting:

  • Average monthly number of answers generated by your community
  • Average monthly number of searches on your community
  • Percent of searches that result in a click-through
  • Monthly community budget (including platform & staff)

The survey should take you about 25 minutes to complete. In return, you will get our never-ending gratitude and a little treat in the form of a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts gift card.
