Survey for the evaluation of the School Crossing Supervisor Program

Introduction to the Survey

A School Crossing Supervisor Program has been introduced in the ACT at 20 crossing sites. School crossing supervisors (lollipop people) assist children to cross roads safely by directing traffic with a stop sign and providing instructions to students. You can find out more about the program here.

To help determine if the Program is successful Transport Canberra and City Services have engaged First Person Consulting to evaluate the School Crossing Supervisor Program. One of the ways that they will be doing this is through this survey to help capture attitudes to children travelling actively (i.e. walking or riding) to primary school.

The survey should take about five minutes.

Your responses will be used to help determine how effective the Program has been, and any other opportunities for improving child safety as they travel to and from school. We are not collecting any identifiable information about you or your children and any answers you provide will be kept confidential on a secure server. Only the researchers undertaking the project will have access to the survey data, with all data being analysed into a report for Transport Canberra and City Services.

Thank you in advance for your time in completing this survey. If you have any questions please contact the TCCS Schools Program.
