2018 Youth Leadership Award

We believe that leadership comes in all forms and styles—leaders can be those in the front, advocating for a cause, or leading a youth group. Or they can be those leading by example, empowering their peers, or serving others. At the 2018 Community Schools National Forum, the Coalition will honor a young leader who fights for equity and social justice in their school and community.

The selected award recipient will be invited to attend the National Forum (May 2-4 in Baltimore, MD) and speak at the Lunch Plenary on May 3 where they will receive their award. The Coalition hopes to secure scholarship money to cover hotel and travel costs.

Eligibility

Youth ages 14-24 years old
Is attending or has attended a community school, or is currently working with a community school
