My name is Edward Hall and I am a student at the University Of Plymouth studying Marine Studies: Merchant Shipping (BSc). As part of the final year of my course I am required to undertake an honours project of my choice.
The topic I have chosen to focus my project on revolves around the knowledge and understanding of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS). Since the COLREGS apply to all vessels "on the high seas and all waters connected therewith navigable by seagoing vessels", you have been kindly asked to complete this questionnaire as somebody to whom these rules apply.
This questionnaire is anonymous and the results will be held in strict confidence.
