New urban visions: Bursary application

Hello!

We are delighted to hear you are interested in attending DSI4EU's final event, New urban visions: Bringing digital social innovation into City Hall on 25 June in Warsaw, Poland.

This form is for potential attendees who would like to apply for a bursary to cover some of the costs of travel and accommodation. We believe that cost should not be a barrier for attending our event and are committed to involving new audiences and under-represented groups in our work.

We have a limited number of bursaries, which will be allocated based on a combination of demonstrated need and when we receive them (we will review applications weekly), so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible and to share as much information as possible. Only one person per organisation will be eligible for a bursary.

Upon confirmation and receipt of necessary details, we will liaise with individuals to agree transport and/or accommodation needs. We intend to offer bursaries of up to €150 per person, although this may be increased at Nesta's discretion, and we expect applicants' organisations to match at least part of the bursary (i.e., the cost is not borne completely by DSI4EU). Nesta will make all purchases directly, unless agreed otherwise. All services purchased through the bursary will comply with Nesta's financial policies.

Applicants meeting the following criteria will be prioritised:
  • Individuals based in EU countries which are under-represented in the field of DSI: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
  • Individuals based in EU candidate and potential candidate countries, and the Eastern Partnership.
  • Individuals from minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities
  • Individuals from organisations with an annual turnover of less than €1m
  • Individuals from city governments
  • Individuals from organisations which would not be able to afford to attend the conference without a bursary.
Please note: these are criteria for prioritisation; we do not expect successful applicants to meet all of them!

If your application is at first unsuccessful, we will continue to consider it depending on demand for bursaries. Therefore, please let us know if you wish to withdraw your application.

If you have any questions, please email contact@digitalsocial.eu.

Thank you again for your interest and we hope to see you in Warsaw!
