Web Accessibility Survey

Information Sheet

This survey aims to investigate how people perceive web accessibility. Despite the growing interest in web accessibility, it has been hard to gain a common agreement on the nature and scope of web accessibility. Therefore, this survey aims to fill that gap. We'd like to ask people involved with web accessibility a number of short questions which should take less than 10 minutes total time to complete. All data will be gathered anonymously.

What will I have to do if I take part?

This survey has three parts. In the first part you will be asked to provide some demographics data. In the second part, you will be asked to judge five different definitions of web accessibility and in the last part, you will be asked to comment about a number of statements related to web accessibility. This survey should take less than 10 minutes.

Will my data be anonymous?

Yes. Names/identity will not be collected. Instead, each participant is allocated a number to identify his or her data. Names/identity will not be associated with this number in anyway.

Can I take part?

We are seeking participants who have experience in web accessibility.

Do I have to take part?

You do not have to take part in the study. If you decide to take part and then later change your mind, either before you start the study or during it, you can withdraw without giving your reasons, and, if you wish, your data will be destroyed.

What is the purpose of this study?

This study does not aim to test you or your knowledge. The aim of this study is to investigate the common understanding of web accessibility.

Is this survey accessible?

We tried our best to design an accessible and usable survey. However, if you face any accessibility issue with this survey please do not hesitate to contact us. Our contact details are below.
