2013 SCPC Homecoming Committee Application

Page One

Thank you for applying to the Student Center Programs Council: Homecoming Committee!

SCPC consists of nine dynamic committees that program for various aspects and niches of campus life. The Homecoming Committee is unique in that it directly interacts with many large student organizations; there are also plenty of subcommittees and opportunities for leadership growth and development.

As a member of the Student Center Programs Council, you will be part of Georgia Tech's premiere programming community. You will have the opportunity to interact with outstanding campus leaders and to gain incredible hands-on experience in the world of event planning. You will also benefit from numerous member-development sessions, interaction with advisors, workshops on publicity and planning, and a member retreat. Most importantly, you will have a lot of fun!

With SCPC membership comes certain expectations, including:
-Attending all committee meetings (and participating fully!)
-Attending biweekly general members meetings
-Volunteering for all committee events
-Consistently volunteering for other SCPC events
Please be sure that you can commit to these expectations before you join the committee. If you foresee any conflicts, be sure to discuss this with the committee chair during your individual conversation.

The application process consists of this written application, a group interview, and a subsequent expectation setting coversation with your committee chair. The interview process is meant to introduce you to the dynamics of SCPC committees and give us an idea of the role you may play in the committee.

This application is due by Friday January 25th, 2013.
