Should I Build a Local Volunteer Lookup Service?

Page One

Sadly, the website RAOGK.org (Random Acts of Genealogy Kindness) has been shut down with no indication that it will be back.

I'm considering building a similar service on FamilyTreeCircles that connects local volunteers with people who are looking for local genealogy lookups.

1. Do you feel that an online service that connects volunteers with people needing local genealogy lookups is valuable?
2. If FamilyTreeCircles had such a service, how likely is it that you would use it to seek the assistance of volunteers?
3. How likely is it that you would volunteer to perform lookups in your local area?
