The Backbone Innovation Campaign is about finding inspired Canadian technology ideas and helping entrepreneurs bring those ideas to the marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered:

1. applicants must run an innovative Canadian technology start-up with a great business plan and less than $2 million in annual sales.
2. the finalists must attend the final stage in the judging process in person - a live pitch event, held in Toronto on May 6, 2013. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of their applications.

Any business or technology sector is relevant. Applicants will be judged on the strength of the idea, its market potential and on the team's execution ability.

PRIZES

$100,000 in prizes: cash prizes, business services, mentoring and a year of media coverage.
