Congratulations! You have been invited to join the Inner City Innovators Hope Dealer Mentoring Program. The following contract lists the terms of agreement for you to initially be involved in Inner City Innovators. A parent/guardian signature at the end of this document signifies that the parent agrees to the terms of the following agreement. Your involvement in this program can be a life-changing experience!
About Inner City Innovators and the Inner City Innovators Program
Inner City Innovators, Inc. (ICI) is a 501(c)(3) Florida non-profit corporation committed to breaking the perpetual cycle of youth delinquency and gun violence in the inner city. Founded and led by Ricky Aiken, a product of the inner city of West Palm Beach, our aim is to give youth the support and resources needed to take the safety of their community and the success of their lives into their own hands.
Examples of activities Inner City Innovators has facilitated with participants in the past are:
● Mentorship
● Social/Emotional Learning
● Leadership Development
● Community Service
● College/Career Preparation
● Guest Speakers
● Local and Out-of-State Field Trips
● Community Building Sports including:
○ Football
○ Paintball
○ Basketball
Meeting Dates & Times
● Program sessions will take place weekly every Saturday during the 2019 - 2020 program year typically between 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Our organization makes a great effort to also provide our participants with opportunities outside of our meeting to build community and leadership.
● At least once a week, Inner City Innovators also makes an effort to communicate to each participant to provide mentorship or goal-setting and implementation support.
Transportation and Location of Programs
● Inner City Innovators has the ability to provide transportation to participants.
Expectations and Incentives
● Participants are expected to always show all instructors & colleagues a high level of respect.
● Participants are expected to be ready at the time of pick up.
● Participants agree to arrive at session start time if not taking advantage of transportation.
● Participants are responsible for keeping parents updated on the logistics of upcoming events.
● Participants who have the most attendance are eligible for:
○ Cash incentives
○ Additional field trips
Fees
● There will be no fee for participation in Inner City Innovators.
● We make a great effort to avoid charging our participants fees through our organizational leadership playing a large role in fundraising.
● Parents are welcome to donate but please do not feel obligated to do so.
Observation
● Parents and/or colleagues should reach out to Norman Austin (561.412.7442) if they are interested in visiting a program session or field trip.
● If approved to visit a session, parents or colleagues would be allowed in the vicinity of our session under the condition that they do not make any noise or distraction for participants; otherwise the individual will be asked to leave.

Liability
● The undersigned hereby assumes full responsibility for any property damage or loss during the duration of practices and performances.
● The undersigned hereby gives permission for the program participant to attend and to participate in practices, performances, or other activities conducted by the Inner City Innovators Program. Recognizing the risks of illness and injury inherit in any physically-oriented activity, the undersigned, on behalf of my child/ward, do agree to hold harmless Ricky Aiken, Inner City Innovators and any associated staff, officers, directors, agents, and volunteers from any and all injuries, cost, losses, damages and expenses (including attorney’s fees) or other liability arising from, related to, or connected with any injury or illness or damage caused by or sustained in the course of any participation in any activities conducted by or associated with Inner City Innovators Program. By signing this agreement I understand and I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ricky Aiken, Inner City Innovators, and associated staff, officers, directors, agents and volunteers. I understand that my student would not be permitted to participate without making this agreement.
