Sometimes digging up the past leads to a better future. This is one of those cases where a feature that once existed was replaced with a simpler and easier to use version. As the tool grew and documentation improved, more and more users are looking for the advanced version once again.
In this case, I’m talking about our Action > Send Email (email auto-responders). For a long time we’ve offered the ability to set a Simple Send When Rule so that you can dynamically send the email based upon the response to a single question. The trouble comes in when you need to check against multiple questions. Now, with great fanfare and a large banquet, the return of Advanced Rule Writing for email autoresponders! (trumpets sound)
You’ll find the new box underneath the Simple Send When Rule when you edit your Send Email Action. Though noted on the page, be advised that the new ‘Do Not Send When’ advanced rule will be superseded by the simple rule if both are present. Enjoy the old new feature!
