MailChimp Integration with SurveyGizmo

SurveyGizmo Mailchimp Survey Integration

Whew… it’s been crazy couple of weeks here on the new feature front. Not only did we add an easy post to Twitter integration and a new Find & Replace feature, we’ve now just added an integration into MailChimp!

MailChimp is used for email marketing and email list management and it makes sending out emails and tracking email campaigns extremely easy. Integrating SurveyGizmo with MailChimp was a no-brainer; easy to use email marketing with easy to use online survey software equals one easy to use, well-rounded marketing campaign.

So, what does this integration with MailChimp actually do?

It allows you to send out your survey invitations directly through MailChimp with a click of a button. It’s great if you have your list already set up in MailChimp. Our MailChimp survey integration automatically creates a new Campaign inside of your MailChimp account, and you can use all of the features MailChimp has to offer including email themes, testing, and tracking. Your MailChimp survey link is then embedded into the survey button in the email, without you having to do anything.

The best part — if you use our MailChimp integration, you receive double your survey response limit for the month on our end and you receive a $25 credit to your MailChimp account from MailChimp. How awesome is that!?!

Activating the MailChimp integration inside your account

Head on over to your Account Settings link in the upper right hand corner of your account when you’re logged in. Then click on the API tab, add your MailChimp info and click save. Now, whenever you go to the Publish tab of your surveys, you’ll see that integration available to you. It’s as simple as that.

We love working with MailChimp and hope you enjoy the integration as much as we have enjoyed setting it up for you.

    Brittany,
Is MailChimp an email service, similar to ConstantContact? If so, I’d like to learn more.

    Hi Armando,
Yes, MailChimp is an email service provider similar to ConstantContact. You can check them out here: MailChimp.com. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

I wish this integration was available 6 months ago. I have to end my current contract before I can sign-up for this one. The other one is not bad, but the integration with our newsletter is a key feature!

I have a client that wants to use survey gizmo for their “receive email Sales and News Notices” form. Is it possible to transfer the emails from survey gizmo to mail chimp automatically?

    Hi Keith,

That’s possible — we haven’t released the survey action for that as we have been to busy to test it completely. If you are willing please use the ‘Contact Us’ form on the site and ask about it. We can give you access to the ability before it’s released if you ware willing to give us some feedback!

    Cheers,

Wish you guys made this more apparent to people signing up via the link from Mailchimp. Also confusing that your FAQ states the following:

“Do you have partnerships with any Email Service Providers?

SurveyGizmo is integrated with ExactTarget so customers can send invitations, track responses, subscribe respondents to newsletters and trigger auto-responders from a survey.”

    Hi Mitch,
I apologize for that. I didn’t realize that “Do you have partnerships with any Email Service Providers?” under the FAQ only stated ExactTarget. I’m going to be adding MailChimp as well, in a couple of minutes.
    Thanks for pointing that out,
    Brittany

Is it possible to see what email addresses filled out the survey when using Mailchimp? All I’m seeing is IP addresses.

    Hi Brent,
It’s not possible right now, but once we release SurveyGizmo 3.0 we’ll be attaching the email addresses so you’ll be able to identify them.
    Thanks!

Which plan do you need to be on for this to work? Does it work with the free plan?

Hi Mike, All of our plan levels (including the free account) work with this integration.
    Thanks!

We have an Enterprise leve account with a private domain set up. I would like to send an invitation to customers “blind” (to avoid bias in their responses) From what I can tell, now that we’ve set up a private domain ALL of our email invitation will come through it. Is it possible to use either MailChimp or ExactTarget as a work around?

Hi Joe! If you want to avoid using your private domain, you can always use the Secure Survey Link merge code rather than the regular Survey Link. This will use a secure SurveyGizmo link rather than your private domain. I’ve emailed you directly in case you have any other questions!
