New Feature: Scheduled & Emailed Exports

Posted by 8 Responses Filed in: Change Log, SurveyGizmo News, SurveyGizmo Updates

We’ve offered the ability to schedule the automatic re-run of our Reports (which will email an individual when the report is run) for quite a while now for our Enterprise and Dedicated customers. Well, we’ve officially stepped up the offering by including scheduled emailing for our Exports also! That’s right, now Enterprise and Dedicated level customers can save your ‘CSV/EXCEL Export’ to access at a later time, re-run on a single click, email a download link automatically on a scheduled interval.

Survey Scheduled Reports

As always, we welcome your feedback and hope you enjoy this new feature. We look to apply the same treatment to the SPSS export in the future, so keep your eyes peeled DONE! SurveyGizmo’s always growing, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next!

Cool feature- but when are you going to implement the ability to schedule a report re-run that would allow date ranges to be created/changed dynamically. example: I run a daily report that pulls the prior days responses, but I have to change the date range every time. Same thing for a weekly report. Please, please, please……

You can do that already. if you enter in (without quotes) “-7 days”
It will dynamically use that information when it is re-run.

Is this option available in 3.0 jet? I can’t find it! Love to have it!

    Hi Hidde,
This feature is actually on the top of our development list right now. So you should be seeing it in the near future. Thanks for checking in!
    Cheers,

    Hi Michael,
You no longer need to write 7 days. Just head over to the drop-down menu and select weekly and you’ll be good to go.
    Cheers!

Glad to see this feature added but your interface could use a little help to more effectively communicate what it is doing. Where do I write -7 days? In the After date box? In the Before date box? Both?

Also, is the dropdown you are talking about the one on a totally separate tab under “Frequency”? Why would I assume that that drop down would override the settings I make in the Filters tab?

If you are going to have such a confusing interface, at least link us to an example or two that gives us some idea how to use it. It’s not too convenient for us to have to change a setting and wait a week to see if what we did actually appears on Sunday.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ben,
This blog post was from 2009, so it’s a bit outdated. If you are looking to schedule exports, now all you need to do is click on the type of export you want to create, then to schedule it, just click on the Publish/Share tab. You’ll then see a drop-down menu to schedule when you want your exports to send. There is no longer a need to go into the filters, or to type in -7.
    I hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Brittany
