We here at SurveyGizmo want your survey experience to be the most productive that it can be so in addition to providing you with a remarkable online survey tool along with how-to articles and video tutorials, we are posting daily survey tips on twitter and collecting them for a blog post each week.
So without any further ado, here are the most recent tips:
1. Estimate complete time for your respondents. On average respondents can complete 5 closed-ended questions per minute & 2 open-ended questions per minute (BTW SurveyGizmo v 3.0 has a built in estimator)
2. For sensitive topics, be sure to include a ‘decline to answer’ or ‘prefer not to answer’ option
3. If demographics are not needed for screening respondents, ask those questions at the end of your survey
4. To ensure data is collected as expected, pre-test against a small group of actual survey respondents
5. Consider sending a final reminder to non-respondents a day before closing the survey
If you can’t wait for the weekly update be sure to follow SurveyGizmo on twitter to get the new tip each day. You can find the compiled lists of the Survey Tip of the Day and additional online survey tips and suggestions here at the SurveyGizmo blog as well as links to helpful SurveyGizmo tutorials.
