We here at SurveyGizmo want your survey experience to be the most productive that it can be so in addition to providing you with a remarkable online survey tool along with how-to articles and video tutorials, we are posting daily survey tips on twitter and collecting them for a blog post each week.
So without any further ado, here are the most recent tips:
1. Avoid ‘order bias’ by randomizing the order in which responses are displayed
2. Give a definition to each point on a scale instead of just the endpoints; it will usually yield higher-quality data
3. For ‘check all that apply’ lists be sure to use any and all available previously collected open-ended data
4. Notify respondents in advance of sending the survey, they will be more likely to recognize the survey when it arrives
5. Consider offering an incentive for participation. On average, incentives typically boost response rates by 50%
If you can’t wait for the weekly update be sure to follow SurveyGizmo on twitter to get the new tip each day.
