Most of the geeks here at SurveyGizmo fell in love with Spore as soon as we found out about it, Spore is game by Will Wright, the creator of The Sims and numerous other games. Spore the game doesn’t come out until the fall but the Spore Creature Creator is available now. We’ve seen the amazing creativity with online surveys that our users have created in SurveyGizmo, and now we want to see if you can channel that into creating a mascot for us. It’s actually pretty easy, requires no artistic talent, and it’s FUN!

The premise:

Create a mascot or representation of SurveyGizmo within the Spore Creature Creator, using the free version or the slightly more powerful purchased version; we are looking for the creativity and the relevance of your creations. The staff here at SurveyGizmo have provided some self-portraits to help inspire your own creations, seen throughout this post. We will pick the top 5 creations and (oddly enough) use a quick survey embedded at the bottom of this page to allow everyone else to vote on their favorite of the top 5 submissions on September 1st, 2008. The voting will close on Friday, September 5th and the winner announced on September 7th, the release day for Spore.

The prize:

The winner will be awarded a Pro SurveyGizmo account at no charge for 1 year. Sweet right?

The rules:

• Your creature must be tagged with ‘surveygizmo’ (minus the single quotes) and shared to Sporepedia
• Take your best picture of the creature on a black background and ‘archive’ it, saving the image to your computer. Then, grab the download from your computer and send the attachment (larger image is best, filename ending in “_ful”) to: CONTEST CLOSED
  

  In Windows, this archived image will be stored in:
  My Documents\My Spore Creations\Pictures\BackUp

• Alternatively, you can also provide a link to the creature on spore.com
• Let us know in the email what was your inspiration for your SurveyGizmo Spore creature.
