Captcha Question Type
What is this?
Captcha stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart”. This ReCaptcha action validates that an actual human is taking your survey by requiring them to type out a certain combination of letters and numbers. Generally the text is slightly distorted so that a computer cannot recognize it, but a human can.
On top of that, ReCaptcha is special type of captcha that helps digitize books. Certain words are scanned into the computer, but cannot be read due to smudges or lines, so every time a human being confirms a word, it helps put together a digital copy of a book that a computer cannot read. This helps both you to protect your survey, and helps the world to have more digitized books!
When would I use this?
You can use ReCaptcha whenever you’d like confirm that a real human being is taking the survey. However, it’s most often used when you have some sort of incentive on the line. If you were running a contest with a give away using a form where there was potential that people would write scripts in order to try and win, adding a ReCaptcha to the final page before the submit button will help you deter this.

When would I avoid using Captcha?
While Captcha is accessible to screen-readers, it requires that users tab through the options to get the function they need, so it may cause some confusion. You may want to avoid using the Captcha option if you’re expecting some of your survey takers to be using screen-readers.
