Checkbox Question Type
What is this?
The checkbox question type allows the respondent to select MORE THAN ONE option.
When would I use this?
You would want to use a checkbox question whenever you want your respondents to be able to select multiple answers, or even select all of them. An example of a Checkbox question could be, “What nationality are you? (Check all that apply)”. The answers could be Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African-American, Caucasian, Hispanic, Native American/Alaska Native, Other/Multi-Racial, or Decline to Respond. The answer labels can be laid out in a vertical or horizontal format, and if you’d like for them to be able to fill in something for “Other” you can insert an “Other Textbox” next to an answer option as well.
How does this Report?
Reporting Example
Within a Summary Report, a vertical bar chart or a table can be used to display the results of a checkbox question. These will either display a count or percentage for you.
Exporting Example
Within our CSV/EXCEL exports, multiple columns are present for each answer possible within the checkbox question. The answer given is present in the spreadsheet cell if that answer was selected by the respondent.
