Close Partial Records
What is this?
If a respondent doesn’t complete a survey, their data is collected up to the page they stopped on and therefore marked as a ‘partial’ response in our system. We allow you to close these partial responses and mark them as ‘complete’ if you need to.
When would I use this?
Normally, when running a report or export, partial responses are not included by default. If you have a Professional account or above, you can include them by using the filter option.. However, if you are on a plan under Professional, or just don’t want to filter the reports/exports each time, we provide easy and quick options for you to mark those partial responses as ‘complete’.
Another reason why you may want to close your partial responses is, you may see that all a particular respondent’s data is enough to be considered complete, but they never hit the submit button. Being able to close your responses by marking them as “complete” can help you take control of your own data, and organize it as you see fit!
How easy is it to do this?
Very easy! If you want to mark an individual response as complete, you can click the small green arrow to the left of each response on your overview tab. If you’d like to mark all of them at once, you can click on the “Mark All Partials Complete” button.
