Editable General Error Message
What is this?
This feature makes it quick and easy for you to change your survey error messages. You don’t have to go with the default error messages we provide, you can customize them however you’d like and add your own personal touch to your survey.
When would I use this?
You may need to change your survey error messages for several different reasons. We see a lot of our customers translating their surveys, and in order to be able to completely translate them into a specific language, you need to be able to customize the error message as well.
You can also use customized error messages to add that little extra bit of flare to your survey. It gives you a chance to either be funny, provide more directions, or even heckle if you really want to (we don’t recommend it, but to each their own.)
What sort of error messages can I customize?
You can customize every error message that we have in SurveyGizmo. Here are a few examples of the types of error messages we have:
- Page Error: There was an error on your page. Please correct any required fields and submit again.
- Question Error: This question has an error…
- Question Required: This question is required
- Soft-Required Alert: (Optional) This question is important to the survey. If you meant to leave it blank, just continue. Otherwise please answer it.
- Min Rows Required: You must answer at least :min rows of the table. You have only answered
- Invalid Email Address: “:value” is not a valid email address
