Editable Survey Width

What is this?

This feature allows you to change the width of your survey theme. There are thousands of reasons why you may need to be able to change your width, and we want to make sure you can adjust it as needed. You can not only change your survey width on individual surveys, but you can also set up your width to be set by default in a custom theme (so you don’t have to adjust it each time).

Additionally, we let you choose the format in which you’d like to adjust your survey width. We set the options to pixels by default, but you can also adjust it using percentages as well.

Survey Width

When would I use this?

Maybe you have a really narrow website, and you want your survey to fit that same size, you can do so by adjusting the width! Similarly, you may want your survey to be in a sidebar of your website, and don’t want to have it take up the whole page. Changing the width can be very helpful because it will let you fit your survey into just about anything.

What if I want my survey width to adjust automatically to the size of the survey takers’s screen?

We do that too! We have a toggle-able option called “auto” that allows you to keep the survey as wide as the window it loads in. In other words it is not a fixed width, so you don’t have to worry about people with smaller monitors not being able to see all of your survey.

What should I avoid?

If you’re planning on using a very thin width to your survey theme, please be sure to avoid using large tables or wide questions in your survey. If your survey theme width is too small, you may not be able to see your questions (and even though there’s a scrollbar, it doesn’t look as professional).
