Embed Report Into a Website or Intranet

What is this?

This feature allows you to create a report and then share it with others in your own website/intranet using a JavaScript embed code. Starting at the Pro level and above, we provide you with the option to use a JavaScript embed code to insert your report directly into your own website.

When would I use this?

You may not want your clients to know that you’re using a third party software to host your survey and findings. To prevent them from knowing you’re using Surveygizmo, you an send your viewers to a page within your own website to see the report (using a JavaScript Embed). This can help by keeping your branding consistent, so it appears as if your viewers are only going to your website and not SurveyGizmo’s.

What should I avoid?

You should avoid using the Report JavaScript embed inside of an email. Most email clients cannot handle JavaScript and will not be able to handle the embed.

We also highly recommend that you avoid embedding your report into a public website if it has private data such as health, or personal information. You want to make sure your respondent’s identities are protected, and embedding their data into a public website can jeopardize this.

If you plan to post reports on your website, we recommend making sure that no data you’re posting is sensitive, and if it is, that you post them to an internal intranet where only authorized people have access. You can also use our report password protection option as an additional level of security if you prefer.
