Embed Images and Videos
What is this?
This feature allows you to add images or videos to your survey.
At the Personal/Basic plan and above, you can upload images and videos to your image library and access them whenever you need them. Our Free plan allows you to embed any image or video from an externally-hosted source – just plug in the URL and you’re good to go!
When would I use this?
An example of when you would want to use this would be if you were doing research comparing one image to another or one video to another. You could show the two different images side-by-side and then ask questions related to the images. You can also use it for a brief instructional video, or reference picture.
Image Customization
When adding an image to your survey, our editor allows you to customize it further for quick last minute changes. You can force it to a specific width or height, give it captions, or align it to one side or another.
What should I avoid?
When creating your survey, it’s best to consider your audience, and the wide variety of screen resolutions you may be catering too. You want avoid making your images and videos too small or even crowding to many large images together. This will reduce eye strain, and better your survey taker’s experience.
It’s also best to avoid loading too many images or videos with large file sizes on the same page. This can really slowdown your survey’s load time, and make their experience much less enjoyable.
If you find your files are too large, you can always use a photo editor to make them smaller, and then re-upload them to your file library.
