Signature Questions
What is this?
The Signature question type is a custom question type that allows your survey applicants to add their signature through input devices such as mouse, stylus, and touch screen (which works great on IPad and smart phones!).
As it is a custom question type, it does not come with our regular subscriptions, but is available for purchase on the SurveyGizmo Marketplace. You can purchase this additional question type at any time, and you can cancel your subscription to it whenever you’d like!
It works using HTML5 to capture mouse movements, so anyone can use it. Users can also draw lines, shapes, etc, depending on what you require in your survey. All they need is a mouse (they can also use a pen tablet, or even a mobile device like a phone or an iPad).
When would I use this?
The signature box will have a wide range of uses, particularly for things like job applications and legal forms. For example, if you’re signing a lease on a house, but can’t get out of work to do so, why not just sign it online? Given that this question type works so well with mobile devices, it will be an ideal solution for in-person surveys and market research using an iPad or other tablet.
