Creating a URL or Web Link

The Web Link is the most common way to Publish your survey. It provides a unique link that can be posted to a website, sent in an email through your personal email program, and otherwise shared with your audience. Multiple Web Links can be created for a single survey.

  4. Number of completed responses collected through this specific Web Link

  2. Active links can be used, while Closed links will display the Close Message (9) when used
  3. Enterprise and Dedicated customers can switch to a Secure SLL encrypted link, which is compatible with the Sub-Types (4): Default and Short URL
  4. The Default link is compatible with all plan levels, while the Short link, and Branded Subdomain are for Pro and above customers. The Private Domain is a feature available for Enterprise and Dedicated customers and gives the greatest amount of branding
  5. [optional] Set a quota or limit on the number of completed responses that may be collected with this Web Link. Once the quota is met, the Close Message is displayed (9)
  6. [optional] These dates will effect the Status (2) of the survey and outside of the Start and Stop dates and times, the Web Link will display the Close Message (9)
  7. [optional] Anyone using this Web Link will automatically have any URL Variables included with their response without being visible to the respondent
  8. The default Auto language will attempt to detect the language of the respondent's browser and display the survey in that language, if available. A specific language can be chosen and forced for this Web Link by selecting it from the drop-down menu

Each Sub-Type offers a slightly different format. All of the options offer some level of personalization of the link, with the Private Domain being the only one without SurveyGizmo branding in the URL.

Parts of the URL in bold represent items that can be altered on a per Web Link basis.
