Mass Upload to File Library

Many of our customers need to upload large amounts of pictures or files at once. You can now do so using the new Mass Upload feature.

Adding Multiple Files To Your Library At Once

To access this, you would do the same thing you did previously, go into your Libraries-->Files and Images.

Once you are inside Libraries-- Files and Images, click on the Upload Files button.

This will prompt your normal file upload directly to pop up.

Once you've chosen the proper directory, you can then choose multiple images in a few different ways (these are all standard to the web).

1. On a windows machine:

-- You would click on the CTRL button, and then click which ever files you'd like to include (be sure to hold it as you choose different files). This will select individual ones.

-- If you need to include a huge section of a folder that have file names lined up in a row, you can use SHIFT and then click the first file you'd like to add, then the last file you'd like to add (be sure to hold on to the CTRL key throughout).

2. On a MAC:

-- You would use the COMMAND key, and then click which ever files you'd like to include (make sure to hold it as you choose the different files). This will select individual ones.

-- If you need to include a huge section of a folder that have file names lined up in a row, you would click COMMAND, then  SHIFT and then click the first file you'd like to add, then the last file you'd like to add (be sure to hold on to the COMMAND and SHIFT key throughout).

Once you're done selecting your files, click "Open".

Naming/Previewing your files

Once you've selected your files, they will pop up in the "Files to Upload" section.

This will allow you to see the following:

 -- A preview (if it's a picture).

-- Title (You can name it something more easily recognizable)

-- File Name/Size (The file name/extension/size of the file you uploaded from your computer)

-- Caption (Allows you to add a caption-- this will only affect your file library caption)

-- Remove (This will allow you to remove any accidentally added files).

If you release you want to add more files, the Upload Files button should convert to an "Add More Files" button. You should be able to click that to add more.

Once you've added all the files you'd like, and customized them to your liking, click "Start Upload".

Completing the Upload

The files will disappear from the list as they're being uploaded (in real time) so that you can tell where one may be taking longer than another.

Once it's done uploading, you will see the "Upload Complete" briefly, and then it will disappear once it's done.
