How to Create Forward-Only Surveys

There are projects when you do not want to include a back button on your survey and/or want the survey taker to be able to change answers on previous pages. The answer in SurveyGizmo is a forward only survey!

To remove the survey Back button

  1. Go to Edit Survey > Look & Feel.
  2. Click on Customize.
  3. Scroll down, turn off the back button and save.
Turning off the back button does not prevent the survey taker from using the browser back button.

To prevent the survey taker from using the back button to change previous answers

  1. Go to Edit Survey > Survey Settings..
  2. Scroll down on the General tab, select to the checkbox for forward only survey, and click on Save Settings.
If the survey taker uses his or her back button, they will be able to see his or her's answers but no changes will be saved in the database. When they click Next, they will be taken to the page they left off on.
