Links and their Settings
Here are the different options for your links!
- A Default link uses "surveygizmo.com" as the base of the link so your link looks like this: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/123/mysurveyname
- A Branded Subdomain uses a subdomain that you set up in Account Settings, to create a more customized link, like: http:/mydomain.mysurveyname.sgizmo.com/s3/
- A Short URL creates a randomly generated tiny link which is good for emailing, like: http://sgiz.mobi/s3/randomnumber
- A Private Domain is a completely branded link with no reference to SurveyGizmo, like: http://surveys.mydomain.com/s3/mysurveyname
In addition to the various link types, here are some additional settings you can utilize!
- Status allows you to make the link active (can collect data) or Closed (no longer collecting data). Closed links will go to the Close Message.
- Link Protocol allows you to choose between Normal (http://) links and Secure (https://) links. Secure links are only available when using a default link.
- Response Quotas allows you to set a maximum number of completed responses for the link. Additional responses will see the Closed Message.
- Link Schedule allows you to define when a link with start (become Active) and stop (Close).
- URL Variables allows you to set static URL variables to always be passed into the survey responses who use this link. These URL variables will not be displayed in the query string and remain hidden from the survey taker.
- Language allows you to set the language the survey will display. "Auto" lets the browser choose while specifying a language will force that language always to appear.
- Close Message allows you to customize the message that survey takers will see if the survey is closed or the response quota is met.
