Date Filters

Available to Professional, SurveyGizmo, Enterprise, and Dedicated Accounts

A quick guide to Date Filters in Reports/Exports:

  • You can use either dates and times to filter your data, or words such as (day, week, year).
  • To use these, you'll have to fill them into the Before and After columns labeled here:Filters_1.png

The Before and After columns are used to set the range you're looking for.

  • After will be the beginning of the range (I want my filter to start after this time and date)
  • Before will be the ending of that range (I want my filter to end before this time and date)

For example, If you wanted August 1st through August 3rd, (for the entire days) you would put:

After: 7/31/2011 23:59  and  Before 08/03/2011 23:59 (or 08/04/2011 00:00 if you want to be exact)

**Note: You'll want to include a time at the end of the date filters because if you do not, it will default to midnight of that date, which if you do that for the example above, you'll end up only getting data from 08/01/2011 through 08/02/2011 11:59PM.

To use alphanumeric filters such as day, week, and year, you can do the following:

You can use the following bolded options in the "Before" or "After" section pictured below.

  • Last year = one year back not including current month.  Report ran with "After: last year" filter on 3/18/11 will return all responses from 4/1/10 forward (starting at 0:00)
  • Last month = Same date from previous month.  Report ran with "After: last month" filter on 3/18 will return responses from 2/18 12:00 forward. (missing responses from- 2/18 between 0:00 - 12:00)
  • Last week = -7 days (starting at 12:00)
  • Yesterday = -1 day (starting 0:00)

You can do -x weeks/months/years which still follow the same rules from above.

  • For example: "-1 day" is the same as typing "Yesterday"
  • "-1 week" is the same as "Last week"

**Note: You can always specify a specific time in conjunction with the above filters.  ie "Last week 13:00".  The times can also be done in both 12 hr and 24 hr format, just make sure that if you're using 12 hr format that AM or PM is specified or it will assume you are using 24 hr format.

  • 12 Hour format: 03:30 PM
  • 24 Hour format: 15:30
