Summary Reports: Remove Question Numbering

You may have used question numbers in your survey, but when you're bringing your clients or supervisor a copy of the report, may not want those included.

You can easily remove them when running a summary report by following these quick and easy steps.

Removing Question Numbers in Summary Reports

1. Click on the Project tab--> Analyze & Report

2. Click on "Summary" to create a Summary Report

3. A pop up will appear. Click "Yes, hide my question numbers." next to Hide Question Numbers.

4. Click "Create Report".

Next, when you go to your Run/View Report tab, and click "Run Report Now" you should see no question numbers included.

If you had left the question numbers inside, it would have looked like the following (the question number to the left of the question):

What if I forgot to turn the "Hide Question Numbers" feature on when I created my Summary Report?

Not a problem. You can manually remove these numbers question by question or in mass. (Tip: This also means if you want question numbers for some, or not others, or to change the question numbers, you can.)

To Remove Them Question by Question

1. Inside your Summary Report, go to the "Edit" tab.

2. Click on the small pencil icon to the right of the question you'd like to remove the question number on.

3. To the right of "Number" delete the number listed in that field.

4. Click "Save".

To Remove them all at once

1. Inside your Summary Report, go to the Settings tab.

2. Check the box that says "Hide numbering for report elements".

3. Remember to click "Save Settings"
