Technical Requirements:
Or… How Does This All Work?
We use the web conference vendor GoToMeeting. It’s both Mac and Windows compatible. There is no cost for the seminars (webinars). You do need to install a very small Active-X application from your Internet Explorer browser (or simply have Java running for Firefox).
Audio Requirements
You’ll need either a phone that can dial in to a conference line (your normal long distance fees apply) or you can use your computer’s speakers and microphone.
Viewing in Windows:
Mozilla® Firefox® 1.0 or newer (JavaScript and Java enabled), Netscape® 6.0 or newer. As long as you have the latest version of Java running, you don’t need to do anything else. If you are using Internet Explorer® 5.0 or newer, look for the yellow bar warning you about installing the Active-X control. It’s quick, easy and safe.
Windows® 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista®
Minimum of Pentium® 400 MHz with 256 MB of RAM (recommended)
Viewing on a Mac:
Safari® 1.3 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 1.5 or newer (JavaScript and Java enabled). As long as you have the latest Java running, you don’t need to do anything else.
Mac OS® X 10.3.9 (Panther) or newer
PowerPC G3/G4/G5 or Intel processor (G4 450 MHz with 256 MB of RAM or better recommended)
