New Survey Template: Job Application Form with optional resume upload

We have a new basic Job Application survey template now for use. You can easily modify it to meet your specific needs. As always, you can find it listed under templates when you create a survey. This one is already set up to be easily embedded in your web site (the JavaScript embed method works great), but you can change the look and feel so it makes a nice standalone page, too.

Here is a sample:

Advanced Features

If you have one of our paid account levels, you can make the form even more useful by adding an Email Auto-responder Action or a File Upload Survey Question. The File Upload is a great way to receive resumes, work samples, etc. You can receive Word Docs, PDFs, or images, and then download them when viewing the responses in the Browse Responses section of the Reporting Tab.

To add an Email Autoresponder you’ll need at to have at least a Personal Level account. While in the survey editor, scroll down to your Thank You page and click “Add Action,” select “Send Email,” and then fill out the associated fields. To add a File Uploader, you’ll need a Professional or Enterprise account. Simply click Add Question and choose type File Upload.

Small suggestion, some sort of import feature for existing CSV or excel files (even cut and paste for the more technically challenged) would be a nifty way of talking people into using your service if they’re coming over with existing data.

Just a thought.

Best,

I have added a file upload feature to a survey and tested it, uploading docs and images, but when I go to the individual surveys or ‘your reports’ or ‘browse responses’, there are no uploaded files… any idea why? Or where these files should be?
