How to Collect Data in Hours With Quick Audience
When time really is of the essence, traditional distribution methods can fall short.
Imagine this scenario: your presentation is at 9am tomorrow, and nothing would wow you client (and boss) quite like concrete numbers. But, there’s no time to negotiate with a panel company, and even if you emailed everyone in your network, there is no way you’ll collect enough responses fast enough for the data to be meaningful.

SurveyGizmo’s Quick Audience is the answer.
This new service brings your survey to respondents faster and more cheaply than any other paid method. Once you submit your survey, you will have the responses you need from real people in hours, not days.
How Does Quick Audience Work?
After a respondent completes a survey distributed by a SurveyGizmo Free Account, they are sent to a Thank You page. On this page, respondents are invited to take a Quick Audience survey.
Participation is voluntary, and respondents are compensated for their time if they successfully finish the survey.
Unlike panels, quick audiences do not have demographic screening in place. Instead, the best surveys for this distribution methods are those that apply to the general public and focus on research or opinion polling.
A few quick facts:
- You can order between 10 and 200 complete responses.
- For surveys of 10 questions or fewer, the price per response is $2.
- For surveys of 11 questions or more, the price per response is $2 plus $.10 for each additional question in the survey. (Don’t worry about the math–our in-app calculator will show you exactly how much each response will cost before you purchase!)
- Quick Audience approvals expire in 30 days (regardless of whether the response quota is fulfilled).
- All Quick Audience surveys must comply with our Acceptable Use Terms.
- All Quick Audience requests must be approved by SurveyGizmo, usually within the same business day.
- Quick Audience is available for all paid accounts.
How is Quick Audience Different from a Panel?
Panels are an important part of any market researcher’s toolkit, and Quick Audiences are not meant to replace panels.
The Quick Audience system is built for speedy responses from a general audience, while panels are best used to help you target an audience with specific demographic characteristics.
With a panel, you can restrict your respondents to your exact specifications. For example, if you are surveying doctors between the ages of 35 and 45 who like jet skiing, a panel will be your best choice.
Professional panel companies vet their panelists for their demographic information and groom them for the quality of the answers that they provide. Quick Audience will not have demographic screening in place.
If you are looking for responses only from a specific demographic or if you are planning to use a lot of logic, then you should choose a panel.
If you are looking for quick insights from a general audience, then choose Quick Audience.
How You Can Get the Most from Quick Audience
The goal of the SurveyGizmo Quick Audience program is to provide an option for survey makers to reach a diverse audience of survey takers in a short amount of time. Because of the specificity of this use case, there are some extra details to keep in mind as you design and plan your survey.
The two main points to remember are:
- Do not disqualify respondents. If you want to target a specific demographic, use a panel or one of our other recommended distribution methods.
- Use minimal logic. Because we cap responses at 200, it’s best to avoid logic. This will ensure you have sufficient data for each question.
The Acceptable Use Terms include some additional guidelines as to what kind of data can be collected. For example, we ask that you do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or account information from respondents. Some advanced features, like Redirects and Payment Actions, will also not work in Quick Audience.
Submitting Your Quick Audience Survey is Easy
The first step is to make sure that your survey is ready to be shared!
Once you have submitted your survey to be distributed through Quick Audience, you will no longer be able to make changes. If you need to make edits after submitting, it will incur an additional cost.
Once you’ve built out your survey and you’re ready to start collecting responses, admin users can select the SurveyGizmo’s Quick Audience option under Pay for Responses on the Share tab.
This will trigger a pricing popup. There are no hidden fees associated with Quick Audiences, so once you input the number of responses you would like, the price that is quoted is the amount that you will be billed.
Once you enter payment information, your survey will be added to the Quick Audience approval queue. A pink status banner will appear in the Build tab of your survey. It will update automatically when your survey is live and collecting responses.
You can keep an eye on responses in real time in the Individual Responses section of your Results tab.
How Do I Become a Quick Audience Respondent?

To get started, you’ll need a valid email address.
Respondents earn points for every survey they complete. Points are then redeemed for cash. Payments will be issued via Paypal to the email you provided us, so providing a valid email that you have access to is very important if you want to reap your rewards.
We encourage participants to give each survey their full attention. Important decision could be made based on your responses; be sure to answer wisely!
We recommend that you:
- Read, read, read and re-read. Make sure that you consider all questions and options carefully.
- Be honest and provide accurate answers.
- Take your time. Do not rush through surveys.
Points expire after 60 days, so be sure to redeem regularly.
