Hello…..,
YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER AND FEMALE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIPATION. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR
OWN, WITH APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES OF UNINTERRUPTED TIME.
This research involves an assessment of how women feel about themselves, as a function of their diet and exercise they undertake, their ethnicity, age, gender, current body mass index and sexuality.
If you agree to take part in my study,
you will be asked to complete questionnaires relating to:
• Demographic & personal information (e.g. ethnicity, age, height, weight gender, and sexual orientation)
• Eating attitudes and behaviours (DEBQ; EDI-2)
• You will also complete a writing exercise
It should only take you around 40 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Ideally it would help if you could complete the questionnaire by Friday the 29th of November.
The questionnaire booklet is anonymous so do not sign your name. From the moment you complete the questionnaire pack you give your consent to use your answers for the purposes of the research. You have the right to withdraw from the study up until the point when you submit the completed questionnaires into a sealed box, which will be opened only once all data have been collected, to preserve anonymity. After that, withdrawal is impossible, as the questionnaires are anonymous. The individual data will not be traceable to any participant. Data will be analyzed and may be used for journal publications and presentations; the results (data from all participants combined) will therefore be seen by relevant people (e.g. my Supervisor, Journal Editor, etc...).
