Gift Aid Rate of Recovery Survey

Gift Aid Survey

Welcome to the GAIN Gift Aid Rate of Recovery Survey

Despite being one of the most generous Government fundraising incentives, the Gift Aid Rate of Recovery (GARR) is still below desired levels. Figures from CAF UK Giving 2014 survey show that of the £11 billion donated by individuals, only around £4.2 billion was given under Gift Aid. This represents a GARR of  38.2%, or a little over one third

Here at GAIN we would like to invite you to participate in a short survey and provide your own results for comparison. In this ways we hope to be able to build up a better picture across the nation as well as across different sectors of the charity market.

The main section of the survey is quite simple.
  1. Select a recent Gift Aid claim you have made, noting the period the claim covers.
  2. Identify the amount of the donations on which this claim is based - This is the Gift Aid Amount
  3. Now identify the total donations from all individuals who qualified for Gift Aid and who could have made a Gift Aid  declaration, regardless of whether or not they did This is the Donation Amount
Please provide as much information as you can. Note that no personal or charity specific details will be released or shared with anyone.
