Some /a/ users have proposed moving trap threads to /lgbt/, due to taking up their board. Some /lgbt/ users are against that due to such threads being irrelevant to /lgbt/.
Some have proposed removing names, tripcodes, and secure tripcodes due to it resulting in drama and cliches. Others argue that they are useful to recognize friends and that they keep discussions orderly.
There are some users advocating removing the blue board restrictions on /lgbt/, due to porn being relevant to /lgbt/. Those against argue that there are already porn boards, and that such content should be kept to them.
There are many users advocating for and against splitting the board, with those in favor arguing that gender identity and sexual orientation are different, so they should have different boards. Those against argue that the board is slow enough that it is not an issue.
Some users have argued that we should remove the archive and remove post numbers to break any third-party archives. They state that the data it stored can be used for de-anonyimization, making the forced anon pointless. Those against argue that it can store useful information on HRT and such for later, that it cannot be used for de-anonyimization in most cases, and that it is helpful if you did not finish reading a thread by the time it entered the archive. Another argument against removing post numbers is that third-prty archives could simply switch to using hashes and/or timestamps to uniquely identify posts.
Some have proposed banning general threads. The arguments for and against are similar to those for force anon, but an additional argument in favor that it keeps the board organized and contains the "cancer", and against that it divides the board.
Some have proposed expanding or removing entirely the image limit, due to it leading to multiple /mtfg/ threads existing due to their fast pace and many image. Arguments against would mostly consist of opposition to general threads, and so then it would not be needed.
There are some users arguing for flags and poster IDs for within a particular thread, to stop puppetry. It was proposed by those also advocating for forced anon, but it is opposed by some of the same, particularly due to the slow pace of /lgbt/ leading to a particular thread existing for a long time.
Some users have proposed banning shitposting and /pol/ posting. Almost all are in favor, none have provided clear definitions. At this point, it is basically saying less worseness.
Some users have proposed enabling the Robot9000 on /lgbt/. It would delete any posts that have ever been posted before. Arguments in favor are that it would stop repetition in /lgbt/, including memes, and can disrupt general threads. Those opposed have argued that sometimes information must be repeated for legitimate reasons, such as the mechanism of action of SERMs. Some have promised having such a bot, but only have it flag posts for review, and that posts should remain if they have a good reason for repetition.
