Arlington Health and Human Services Opinionnaire® Survey

Hello and Welcome!

As are many communities in our country, the greater Arlington area is experiencing an increase in the severity and visibility of individuals who are experiencing homelessness, addiction and mental illness.   There is a deep concern for the health and well-being of these individuals, as well as a necessity to ensure residents and guests are safe, businesses thrive, and Arlington is a vibrant and healthy community for all.

To best address the growing crisis, the City seeks to better understand the network of community support and resources that exists today, as well as to understand the gaps in health and human services and programs.  The City desires a coordinated community network of engaged local and countywide partners who can help close the identified gaps, target outreach to what is most needed and least available, and ultimately be a part of a solution to a very complex challenge.

To that end, and thanks to a grant from the United Way of Snohomish County, I have been hired as an independent contractor to connect and learn from known partners including the Family Resource Center, Faith Community, Nonprofits providers, Health Care and EMS, City and County Government, Businesses, Law Enforcement, Service Clubs, and other volunteers.  In addition I also want to ensure I am gathering insights, opinions, and values from the greater Arlington/98223 residents and other professionals who I may not meet in person but whose opinions are important to include.  (Please do take this survey even I have met with you already in person!)

I invite you to take a few minutes to complete the following Opinionnaire® Survey and also to forward to others in your email address book who care about or has concerns about the greater Arlington community – regardless if they live and work in the area or not.   The Opinionnaire® Survey is very easy to follow and won’t take too long, and there are no wrong answers – your honesty and time is all you need!

I greatly appreciate your time and thoughtfulness in answering this survey – thank you very much!

(And if you want to stay informed about our efforts, please provide us with your contact information at the end of the survey.)

PS. And our thanks as well to Mr. John Spady of Dick's Drive-In Restaurants and the National Dialogue Network in Seattle for helping us with this special Opinionnaire® Survey*.

Let's get started…

Before we begin, here is a 2-minute overview video about The Charter for Compassion. In general, do you think Everett residents should consider designating themselves a "Compassionate City?" This topic could be part of a future Everett Values... Opinionnaire® Survey.
