Archdiocese of Indianapolis - E-Survey (E)

As we seek to gather input from across our archdiocese on the fundamental questions of Where are we?, Where is God calling us?, and How will we get there together?, we invite you to read and reflect on the catechetical statements presented in each section of this questionnaire and provide your responses to the questions that follow.

Prayer and Worship

The centrality of the Eucharist in the life of the Church and in the daily lives of the faithful guides our participation in the archdiocesan process of discerning parish needs. Our discernment of parish needs is nourished by the common prayer of the Eucharist, in which “is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ Jesus Himself, our Pasch.” (Catechism, 1324). Active participation in the Eucharist, the sacrament of love, is a sign of unity and a bond of charity that draws and holds together each parish community as it prayerfully considers its past and present achievements and future hopes. Full and active participation in the Eucharist, and perseverance in personal and communal prayer, is vital to the ongoing success of our common discernment and shared witness to the Gospel.
