2018 John Philip Sousa National High School Honors Band

1. Student Biographical Information

This form is to be used to apply for membership to the 2018 Sousa National High School Honors Band.

Each student should fill out his/her own APPLICATION. There is no limit to the number of students any school can nominate, although the group is clearly looking for the very best band musicians in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, and the selection process will reflect that aim.

Please use proper UPPER and LOWER CASE LETTERS where appropriate, and fill in the fields as specifically as possible. When you have completed the application, please be sure to go to the JPSousaNHSBand.com website, where you will see specific instructions

Students will receive notice of acceptance sometime in January 2018, along with supporting paperwork for housing, medical forms, etc. Participation fee for accepted students will be $TBA (goal is around $550.00) per student that will include all honors band expenses while at the event. Transportation to Boston will be the student's responsibility.

Once you have done this, please upload your audition file to https://www.Bandworld.org/Audition.aspx?eID=185 . When you go to this link, you will be asked to login to your Bandworld account. Then, you will fill in your audition information at this link which is entitled "Auditions Made Easy". When you get to the "Auditions" tab, you will find the spot where you will upload your .mp4 video audition file.
