Digital e-Legal Deposit Survey (2017)

e-legal Deposit Survey (2017)

Thank you for taking part in this survey, which looks to update and build on the 2014 investigation into born digital legal deposit policies and practices for born digital content. The survey aims to bring together both legal and practical information, allowing us both to look at trends over time, and across countries. It is aimed at national libraries and other bodies implementing legal deposit legislation or looking to collect a comprehensive archive of digital works. It is the first of a series that will cover legal deposit policies and practices relating to different types of content.

If you answer only "yes", "no", or "don't know" to the questions, we expect the survey will take you less than 5 minutes to complete. Most questions have a comment text box associated with them; we encourage you to add comments to clarify your "yes", "no", or "don't know" answers.

This survey is a collaboration between the International Federation of Libraries and Library Associations (IFLA), the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC), the Reynolds Journalism Institute, and the University of Missouri Columbia Libraries. If you leave your email address, we will send you a copy of the report when it's ready.
