SDCOE CoSN TLE Cohort Program

Interest Form to participate in the SDCOE's CoSN TLE Cohort Program

The SDCOE's TLE Cohort Program will begin in March 2018. Our Pilot Cohort will begin with a full day workshop on Thursday, March 8th on our main campus. We are seeking 5-8 eligible San Diego County districts and/or K-12 schools to participate in our Pilot Cohort. The duration of engagement will be determined by the Pilot Cohort members but is anticipated to last 12+ months. Each participating organization requires one representative member to participate in the Cohort.

"What is the Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Seal?"
The TLE Seal is a mark of distinction for school systems, signaling they have taken measurable steps to assure the digital privacy of student data.

"What is SDCOE's role in earning the seal?"
SDCOE's CoSN TLE Cohort Program was created to assist participating cohort members in earning the seal through collaborative efforts. SDCOE will provide the Program Management and Cohort participant support to enable participating organizations to more efficiently apply for their TLE Seal.

"Who is eligible to earn the seal?"
School systems of all governance structures; public, private, charter and parochial. Individual schools within a larger system are not eligible.

"What are the practice areas?"
Leadership, Business, Data Security, Classroom, Professional Development

"How does a school system earn the seal?"
A completed application with supplemental evidentiary information is provided to a panel of CTO peers and privacy experts for review. Upon acceptance, the seal is valid for 2 years.
