Helping Professionals: Self-Care and Well-being Assessment 3.0

Introduction

Thank you for considering this self-care and well-being assessment.

This assessment is part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness on mindfulness. self-care and well-being in the helping professions such as healthcare, ministry, education, psychotherapy, counseling, social work and human services.

If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a short assessment (approx. 11 mins) regarding your self-care practices and well-being.  A benefit is that you can view your mindfulness, self-care, well-being scores and custom suggestions on improving your self-care efforts based on your scores after the assessment.  The assessment may illicit some feelings of concern which are likely to dissipate following completion of the assessment.  Experiencing these emotions may help to motivate you to look upon yourself with the same compassionate eyes that you view your clients.

The findings of the assessment will support well-being, self-care assessment and education in the helping professions.

Your confidentiality will be protected and you can choose to remain completely anonymous.

If you have questions, please contact Dr. Jason Hotchkiss, board-certified chaplain and research psychologist via e-mail jason.hotchkiss@cornerstone.edu
