Dear US Area Directors and Committee Chairs,
I need your help. As you may or may not know, the YL Mission has decided to make the the development and support of the local YL Committee a top priority over the next several years. Since the very beginning of the mission the local Committee has been a major reason for the success of the Young Life Ministry model and I think the Lord has blessed our acknowledgement that “it takes a community to transform a community!”.
We realize the most important relationship in the local area is the one between the Area Director and the Committee Chair. Over the last two months, we’ve spent time working with US Regions to identify over 1200 Committee Chairs! This is why you’re receiving this email because you selflessly serve in that role and we thank you for that.
In the near future, we hope to schedule a series of Committee Chair/AD Summits. I sincerely hope that these gatherings will assist you in the development of your local Committee. In order to do this well I would be grateful for your input.
