Student Election Judge Application

Apply now to serve as a Student Election Judge in Arapahoe County in November 2022!

Student Election Judges will experience the excitement of Nov. 8 General Election Day by assisting voters at our Voter Service and Polling Centers. You’ll earn a paid stipend for your time (including training!), perform a valuable service for your community, and gain experience that looks great on a college application or résumé.

To qualify as a Student Election Judge, you must be 16 or 17 years old and a Junior or Senior in good standing in high school; a U.S. citizen on Election Day; a resident of Colorado; physically and mentally able to perform the duties; free of any conviction for fraud or election offenses; and not a family member of a candidate on the ballot.

Attendance at an in-person training session on the Saturday before Election Day is required, then you will be assigned vote center for Election Day work.  Student Judges are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the assigned vote center for 6:30 a.m. start time and pickup at 7:00 p.m. We need judges at all 32 vote centers across the county, so we cannot guarantee assignment to any particular requested location.

Complete and submit this application to Arapahoe County by October 28, 2022. We will contact you to let you know if your application has been approved, and provide you with details about your role and schedule on Election Day.
