Local Government Alternative Fuel Procurement

Local Government Alternative Fuel and Vehicle Procurement Report

The following questionnaire is for local governments consuming greater than 200,000 gallons of fuel a year to report on their alternative fuel and vehicle procurements in accordance with Chapter 194-29 of the Washington Administrative Code and Revised Code of Washington 43.325.080. The data will be used to quantify progress towards the state's goal of increasing use of alternative fuels, and inform future policies and programs to support local government initiatives in this area.

This questionnaire must be completed in one sitting. We recommend that respondents prepare their answers on paper or a word processing program prior to filling out this form.  If you need to amend or resubmit your answers, please contact Alan Kwan (alan.kwan@commerce.wa.gov, 360-725-3120).

Please submit responses by July 2, 2018.  If you have any questions please contact Alan Kwan (alan.kwan@commerce.wa.gov, 360-725-3120).
This question requires a valid email address.
4. Please give email addresses of anyone else you would like to receive copies of this report upon completion (limit 5).
6. How many gallons of fuel did you use in the past year (or most recent 12 month period for which you have data)?  Alternatively, how much money did you spend on the following fuels?  If zero, you may leave blank.  You only need to submit one answer per row.

7. If you consume diesel fuel, have you used 5% biodiesel blends (B5) or higher? (Section 194-29-070 defines B5 [or higher blend] use as practicable when the fuel is available at retail or for delivery to on-site storage tanks at a price less than 101% that of #2 ultra-low sulfur diesel, including necessary additives).
9. Transit agencies: Section 194-29-030 exempts transit agency active revenue fleets (excluding vans) if a majority of these vehicles run on compressed natural gas (CNG).  If this applies to your active non-van revenue fleets, please complete the following and exclude these vehicles from future questions.  Leave blank if not applicable.
10. Emergency vehicles: Section 194-29-030 allows local governments to exempt emergency vehicles (defined as police, fire, or other emergency response vehicles, including utility vehicles frequently used for emergency response).  If you are exempting emergency vehicles or do not operate emergency vehicles, please check the appropriate box and do not consider emergency vehicles in the following questions.  If you choose to report on your emergency vehicles, leave blank.
11. The following question refers to your current fleet, excluding non-van revenue vehicles and emergency vehicles if applicable.
For the following vehicle classes, please give the total number as well as the fuel/drivetrain type.  If zero you may leave blank.  If you have vehicles, vessels, or construction equipment that do not fit the descriptions below, you may specify them in the blank rows.  If you are reporting emergency vehicles, there is no need to distinguish them from non-emergency vehicles (e.g., do not make a special "emergency sedan" category).
